Rectangular Yarn Bowl

This is another item ordered from last week's craft sale- A rectangular yarn bowl that is 6” x 10 1/4” X 6 1/2” high.The lady had big yarn balls of heavy yarn and needed one this size and with a wider “J” slot.This bowl is made from 3/8” maple plywood and has all the edges connected with lock miters. I added a handle in the back so it is easier to pick up.It is finished with satin lacquer.Cheers, Jim

A handful of canes.

Canes and walking sticks are my projects of choice. The first is a oak cane I got at a flea market and carved the angle.The second is a walnut cane I am putting dogwood flowers on. The third has a Mahogany handle and walnut shank. The forth has a zebrawood handle with a padauk shank. The fifth one is a mahogany handle with a canarywood shank.
