In my last post I explained how Valspar wood coatings may remain independent of Sherwin-Williams' attempt at consolidation for a while. But there's a much bigger consolidation being attempted by PPG. Wood Manufacturing Employee Killed by Sawdust Accident

Furnished content.


A wood manufacturing company employee was killed when the cab of his truck was accidentally filled with sawdust. OSHA is expected to investigate the incident, which took place at Chips Inc., a wood pellet manufacturer near Zion Crossroads, VA.

A U.S. Harp Genius Built a Factory Using Italy's Cabinet Masters

The Chicago-born global master of harp manufacturing, Victor Salvi, died May 10, at age 95. In 1955, Salvi emigrated to his ancestral home, Italy, where he assembled a dozen cabinetmakers in Genoa, and began building harps commercially.

Lumber Liquidators CEO Quits Amid Chinese Flooring Probe

Lumber Liquidators continues to face fallout from allegations that it sold toxic flooring imported from China. A few weeks after firing CFO Daniel Terrell, the hardwood and laminate flooring producer announced the sudden resignation of President and CEO Robert Lynch.
