Jewlrey Box

Jewlrey BoxThis was an anniversary gift for my wife of 4 years. This was my first time doing a half blind dovetail and im happy with the results. The box is 1/2” black walnut and the drawers are walnut and maple construction with solid wood bottoms.

Walnut flat bowls with epoxy inlayUsing my new circle cutting jig, I wanted to turn a couple bowls from a slab remanent that I had and try adding some epoxy inlay along the rim. The bowls aren't nesting, but it was a good project to work through the process of trying to create matching profiles on two separate itemssomething that's new to me. I turned them both using a face plate, then attached a chuck to a turned tenon on each for the long haul. I had these bowls on and off the lathe several times. I'm not thrilled with the proportions of the bowls themselves, but I'm pretty happy with the overall outcome.Sanded to 1800g, then Dr. Kirk's Scratch Free. Finished with homemade friction polish.

Cheese Slicers and Cutting BoardsI had a request for a cheese slicing board so i made a couple different boards. First one was solid walnut square edge, and 2 walnut live edge, one out of zebra wood.the fifth was a combination of of walnut, maple, and purple heart, and one with walnut, maple and red heart.the cutting boards are a combo of walnut and maple.easy projects but installing the cheese slicer hardware is a royal pain.
