Toys and Joys Green tractor
Furnished content. (from Lumberjocks.com)
This tractor is another Toys and Joys plan. This is made of northern white hard maple. The front wheels are purchased along with misc dowels that are then fabricated for various parts. I gifted this to my brother in law. His father had recently passed away and they still have a John Deere B in their fleet of working tractors. I saw it fitting that he should have one. I do make all of the treaded tires on my models. Toys and Joys gives good guidance on making them.

Cedar raised planter
Furnished content. (from Lumberjocks.com)
We wanted a raised planter for our deck so we could plant some lettuce and a few herbs. I had some cedar purchased for a project last year that never happened so I came up with this.I had previously built a window box and while I planned for wood movement I did not account for as much as it required. Lets just say it required a major refit after one season. I didn't want the same to happen here so I planed for much more wood movement in the design and I avoided places water could pool as much as possible. We have chosen to keep the wood without finish, my wife wants it to grey. After we get a bit of age on it I may add some sort of finish to halt the process at least for a while. Of course I will have to do that when there is nothing planted in it.
