I am working on a blanket chest and want to use box or finger joint construction for the chest. After watching 15 or 20 YouTube videos on the the subject of finger joint jigs, most of them just are just variations of each other. I found one that was very different, it was more like a dove tail jig. The video was from Woodsmith demonstrating their finger joint jig, trying to sell their plans. I like that it used keys to size the fingers, you can use different size keys, and even different size keys on the same board. The last picture was my first attempt at finger joints with scrap with no adjustments.
My table saw power switch broke! It broke in the on position, so I was able to finish the project by having someone plug and un-plug the saw. I replaced it with the above paddle switch and replaced the power cord.I finally got around to making a crosscut sled, WOW! I should have done that a lot sooner. I even got around to making a zero clearance insert.
