Picture frame support
Furnished content. (from Lumberjocks.com)
Every time I made a picture frame I ended up cobbling together a some scraps to hold the frame for finishing. I finally decided that was a waste of time and made this holder. It'll adjust to any size frame up to 2' x 3'. It could be any size if you use long enough threaded rods. Construction is pretty simple and should be obvious from the picture. I goofed at my first attempt and didn't leave enough room from the top of the support above the rods. So I just glued on some pieces to raise it up. I should have done that in the first place since it was much easier to glue on a thin piece of plywood rather than cut a rabbet. Drill the holes on a drill press with a fence so that all the holes line up.George
