Cigar Cases
Furnished content. (from Lumberjocks.com)
These Cigar Cases are a work in progress. I made a few for myself and a friend, but now the cigars are fatter, so I had to widen and deepen the grooves. It is labor intensive as I have to be pretty precise with the cutting of the grooves with my router. on my router table. I don't like getting so close to the cutter. It will take off your finger in a blink. So I wear special carving cut resistant gloves and use a push stick whenever possible ! Cedar works the best, I tried pine and oak and birch but they are harder to rout with that big fat bit. Otherwise they look great and close up snug with the little magnets that I countersunk on each half. Be safe, wear your mask, and protect each other ! Merry Christmas, to one & all !
