Lathe tools rack
Furnished content. (from Lumberjocks.com)
Over the past month, my shop had gotten even more chaotic than usual. I've had jury duty, and when I did get some shop-time, I wasn't taking the time to clean up afterwards.During my turning spree this spring and early summer, I had acquired a lot of lathe tools I didn't have any place for. So when I did finally get a little time, I decided to build a rack to hold them. A chunk of 1×12, a piece of 1×8, and a bunch of 1×4 pieces, some glue and some screws, and it's done.Holes in top of is are thanks to my new forstner bits and a little bit of chisel work for the really big scraper (a 40mm wide round) and I now have a nice home for the new lathe tools and a bit of expansion room, even. And then I added a new chunk of cleat to the wall to hold the tools at a better level for reaching when I'm working at the lathe.
