Idea for dust filtration mask
Furnished content. (from WoodNet.net)
I have one of the dust filtration hoods that blows air through a filter and into a face mask and never really got used to using it, as its fairly bulky and gets in the way.
I have noticed a mask that Pask Makes uses on YouTube that has the filters behind the head, and it look promising for weight distribution, but still looks like it relies on your pulling air through it.
I just saw an air curtain type prototype that uses a hard hat and blows a curtain of air completely around the brim straight down to blow away everything besides filtered air. It also looks promising but again bulky and I suspect you would entrain dust in the stream of air and it wouldn't filter as well as other options.
As I fell asleep last night wearing my Cpap mask a Resmed air touch N30i nasal mask with the hose coming from the top, I wondered if you could get a Cpap blower motor, pull filtered air and mount it along with a battery either in a belt or back pack, or even if small enough on the back strap of the CPAP mask, and essentially have filtered Cpap air blown directly into your Nose.
