Rubber Band Alternative

I was getting a bit frustrated putting band clamps around a finger joint box using a set of Rockler Box Joint Cauls. I held the cauls loosely in place with one hand bar clamps. Then instead of a rubber band to hold them in place while securing the band clamps I used a narrow length of Velcro. It was enough tension to hold the clamps in place with the added advantage that I don't need a specific length and the Velcro doesn't rot over time (sometimes it is a couple years before another box is made) as a rubber band does.
