New Desk
Furnished content. (from Lumberjocks.com)
I needed a new desk, because I needed some drawers and a larger work space. I bought one from Amazon that you put together from “laser cut parts”, but that was lost. It's ok, those are garbage anyway. So I took Amazon's payout and refund, and built my own for about the same cost, complete with columns and corbels! The desk is 80% oak, with the rest being plywood and hardware. I will eventually get it fitted for a glass top. The color is a combination of two different stains that I liked, and made this weird color that I'll never be able to duplicate. I eventually took the middle drawer out for leg space. Tall people problems.Overall, not a bad project, for a couple of weekends. Also I hate sanding tops.
