Mobile Air Compressor Cart

Furnished content.
(from Lumberjocks.com)

Mobile Air Compressor CartHey fellow Jocks. This is my first thing I have ever built out of wood. And if you look close you can see a couple of serious mistake. But we will get to that in a second. I purchased a home that had a 2000 Square Foot unfinished basement. I was so excited. I used 500 square feet and built a woodworking shop. But before I could tackle that task, I knew I needed a cart to handle all the air tools and nails, thus my first woodworking item. The biggest mistake I made was when I was assembling the drawers. I made the front board of each drawer the same width as the drawer itself. I forgot to take into account the side rails and covering them. So when you look at this cart head on, you can see the rails on each side of the drawers. Well, I glued and nailed them on so they are NOT coming off for me to fix. I just do not feel like it is worth the time, replacement wood etc to fix. It is not a functional issue, just a cosmetic one.Another issue I had was getting the drawer handles centered correctly. They did not go on as planned. (I have purchased a jig for future drawer projects). Suffice it to say, once I saw the error of my ways, I had to drill extra holes to get them centered (and if you look close, I did not do the best job). Lesson learned. Isn't this what it is all about anyway?
