Go Fish
Furnished content. (from Lumberjocks.com)
The two carvings were made years apart, and tied together (literally) when I completed the “fly”. The fly was designed when I felt the “rising trout(bass?)” carving looked too “alone”and small to make an interesting display. The links are brass rods. Admittedly the fish was from a carving book image, .. but I made modifications, including the (subtle) coloring of the water. The fly is entirely my design! The hook took considerable effort to get right. It's a brass tube (filled with fine sand while creating the bend to prevent crimping.) I'm currently working on a mobile of fishing lures, 10-20 times larger then the actual lures. We'll see what become of the final project in a year or two.
