Another Wooden Mallet

This is something I wanted to try… having recently acquired some planes, some chisels… and looking forward to a set of turning gouges a bit of the “organic” wood bug has started to bite. A mallet seemed like a cool and useful thing to have, and I knew it wouldn't take much time. I followed an article by Paul Mayer that was published by Fine Woodworking and was inspired to build this maple/walnut mallet. It was fun and I tried a couple of things I hadn't done before… just a grand woodworking lesson with a trophy attached to it ! Anyhow… like I said…. ANOTHER wooden mallet. Finished with boiled linseed oil… nothing else.Art
