When a tree split and crashed into my houseThree years ago a 60 foot elm tree (I think) cracked off 20 feet up and crashed into my bedroom window in an early February storm.
The tree had to be taken down and I asked the tree removal guys for three slabs from the trunk.
I had to flatten them from the chain sawing of course after three years of air drying in my shed. Had them on edge and stickered of sorts.
After flattening and sanding I sealed them and then epoxy coated them with marine grade epoxy.
Intended to be deck side tables.
This one didn't crack. The other two are getting bow tie inlays to help stabilize them. That's the next project.
Didn't know the truck was heart shaped
