Wedding ring box for my daughter
Furnished content.
(from Lumberjocks.com)
Been a long time since I've posted a project, because…due to current events, in all honesty my focus has not been what it needs to be to work safely in the shop. So I decided to post something I made a while back.It has now become a tradition (x2) that I make a ring box whenever one of the kids gets married. The first one was a beveled finger jointed box for my son. The second one posted here, was for my daughter. This was my first real project using a new horizontal belt sander. A little bit of a learning curve, but I really love the machine and what it allows me to do. My daughter and son in law were happy…and now all their friends want me to make ring boxes for them when they get married…so apparently it was a success…Oy Vey!I'll post my son's box in a few days. It has similarities to a recently posted, and exceptionally lovely box that has beveled box joints, and I feel I need put a little space between the two projects. Anyway, more ring boxes are apparently in my future!
