The Devil is in the detailsThe attached carving was designed as an entry into a wine/liquor cabinet, a project I was never able to complete for various reasons. The carving was in red oak, with a grain that emulated flames. My intent had been to have a keyhole at the back of the throat of the figure, a kind of adult (dark) “Alice in Wonderland” reimagined. (I think there was a key involved somewhere?) Now that I have the resources and tools (mostly) available, I wish I'd followed through. (“If wishes were fishes ..”)Perhaps someone with the materials, tools, skills and interest will consider completing the project and posting the result. I'd be willing to have the carving (locally) 3D scanned if you're serious about it.As an aside, I've displayed my carvings locally (several times), including this carving. I also displayed the “Imp” in our church “display cabinet”. There were no complaints!
