I always wanted to build one of these and have the flexibility of the versatile vises. Project is from The WoodWhisper Guild and happy the way it turned out, still have the bottom to complete. Sourced some local white oak very cheap. Finished with danish oil for easy cleanup and repair. The top glue up was rough even with biscuit joints so I had to flatten with a router sled. As you know wood moves, so it's out of whack again, 5 months later, but will be fine for my uses. I draw pegged the legs versus knockdown hardware since the top is removable and can be transported.
