Needed a slick for upcoming timber framing project. As I've been playing around with blacksmithing for a couple of years thought I'd try to make it. Got a piece of O1 tool steel and fired up the forge. Is all forged from 1 piece of steel. Handle is turned white oak (handled the wood with steel dust on my hands so it turned a little black, oops). Blade is 10” by 1 1/2”, Handle is 18”. Works pretty well. Read more here
