Well, not really veneer, maybe a little thicker 3/32 or possibly 1/8". I've been asked to recreate a sideboard by someone living in our house (we are MT nesters with a smalldog, so you can guess who asked). This sideboard has 2 serpentine front drawers and I want to make them as a bent lamination. One is 8" tall, the other 7". The laminations will be cherry and I have enough wood to do them. But I also have some more narrow pieces I would like to use.I'm considering gluing some of the narow pieces into an 8" wide board and sawing it for the interior laminations, having better wood on the outside and inside of the glue up.My fear is that a glue joint on wood that thin won't stay glued..especially when I start flexing it.It's not a deep curve, but I'm still wondering.
