I've been meaning to make some of these for a while, and finally got around to it. They will be helpful in keeping parts at right angles when gluing up. There are 3 options for clamping the pieces being glued; the round opening, the narrow slots for spring clamps, or the flat parallel surfaces for larger clamps.I started by laminating 2 pieces of 1/2 plywood and cutting to 6 squares. It was at this point I found out my crosscut sled had gotten a bit out of whack, so I spent some time making sure it was dead on accurate using the 5 cut method. No point in having right angle guides if they aren't at 90 degrees.I marked out the location of all the slots and cuts, and made a quick template to rout the slots using a 1/4 bit with a guide bushing. Next I cut the pieces apart at 45 degrees by double sticking a couple of blocks to my sled. I finished the other cuts on my bandsaw, cleaned up and softened the edges, and applied 2 coats of Osmo to help repel glueand make them purdy. I'm sure I'll use these often.
