I made this set of palette coasters with various types of wood, having in mind a collection of wood samples that could also be usful somewhere.The types of wood are pretty much all the types that I have used so far. Left to right:
Bottom row: white ash, walnut, pine, elm
middle row: beech, oak, olive, orange
top row: european oak, birch, judas tree, orangeCoaster case: walnut with white ash stripes
