To honor my stepfather, I recently built this beautiful flag holder for his military burial flag. It's hand dovetailed, made of cherry, 16 inches at the highest point and 22 inches at the widest point. I added an area at the bottom to hold some mementos, including his Marine Identification Card, small Bible, 1967 fishing license, and his membership card from The Turtle Club. It was an honor to make this case. I just wish my mom could have seen it before she passed away and I inherited the flag.
