Large Bowl - Dogwood?
Furnished content.
(from Lumberjocks.com)
Ran across a large stump on the side of the road from a tree removal down the street. Picked it up, and it sat in my backyard for a few years. When I finally decided to do something with it, it had checked and cracked a lot. I was tempted to leave the cracks open, but my wife thought she might want to use it to actually hold stuff. So I filled all the cracks and voids with epoxy and CA, then finished with General Finishes Salad Bowl Finish. I am guessing it is dogwood based on the wood tone and the bark of the stump – but don't know for sure. 11” diameter, 6” tall.
