Grill Table Backsplash and cabinetsGrill table backsplash I made with Red Cedar. Resawed the cedar and planed it to 1/4 in. then cut it into boards about 3 in. wide and added a bead with a moulding head on the table saw. If you take a close look it's obvious it was not a “professional” job, lol, but I have come to accept my humanity and realize that I am not a pro. Using solid wood as a paneling I should have left a little space for expansion, so it buckled a little in a couple of places. Still, I'm happy with it. Finished everything with three coats of Helmsman Spar varnish. I also made a beverage cooler to match. The plans called for using a certain size cooler with a drain in it, but I couldn't find that size – nor worries I thought – I had some 1 in. thick foam board insulation laying around so I cut it to size and glued it in place. Only later did I find out that foam board will absorb water, so now I'm going to make a plastic box to fit inside. Is there any other way to learn besides the hard way? Thanks for looking
