Another keepsake /jewelry box for a surprise to a friends wife .I started this box several month ago and I finally come up the with a design details that I was happy with.
The box is made from a piece of maple flooring that I planed to 9/16” to remove the grooves on backside and some walnut trim .
The top is router textured and installed a pair of 10mm SOSS hinges for the lid .
The tray is a simple two compartment divided by a very simple lift handle .
Wipe on POLY is the finish which I like as it is so easy to work with and three coats gave a nice result in no time .Enjoy the pictures and honest comments are always welcome .Klaus
