End table made for practice
Furnished content.
(from Lumberjocks.com)
A former co-worker who now works at a sawmill called that he had some wood that I might want. He put back some sassafras and some maple with streaks. It was ambrosia maple, I was anxious to see what it would look after finishing having never work with it before. I chosed clear shellac and read and watch YouTube on techniques.I used this opportunity to make a cloud lift pattern and an indent jig for future projects. The board had some streaks and some burl patterns and after finishing it looked pretty good. I completed the end table using poplar, cherry, and pine scraps. I was happy with the results.
