Central VAC for workshop?

I really really hate having a shop vac to cart around, walk around, trip over (when I forget it's there when I turn around), trip overthe power cord to, just taking up floor space when not in use... all necessary evils in the current state of my workshop.
So I'm thinking of installing a central vac system when I build my workshop next year. This is something I will install myself.
One thing I'm going to add to it are cleanouts in the event of a clog to make clearing them easier.

Does anyone here have a central vac system for the workshop? Systemrecommendations - or ones to avoid? Size?
Any concerns with having a central vac system in a workshop?
