A dear friend was having her 50th birthday party last night. Her husband bought her a new Taylor acoustic guitar. She loves handmade gifts so I decided to make a box to hold picks, her capo, tuner and other related items.I milled down some cherry I had on hand and started. I found out her favorite color was purple and I just happened to have some purpleheart pieces that would work about perfect. An local laser engraver did the artwork for me.I added one coat of Watco cherry Danish oil and then two coats of General Finishes water based top coat. The box measures 10 X 7 X 4 1/2. Her husband suggested not using hinges so I used two rare earth magnets to hold it in place. they hold very well and makes it easy to open. It was given to her last night.Thanks for looking, Drew
