Arts & Crafts Mantel Clock
Furnished content.
(from Lumberjocks.com)
This is an Arts & Crafts style clock that I've had floating around in my head for a couple of years, & finally got around to making. With the exception of the removable plywood back (for battery changes), the wood is recycled from an old piano that I scrapped several years ago. I did the basic clock dial layout using a very helpful website, blocklayer.com, with a free downloadable A&C font I found online. I completed the dial in Photoshop, adding the parchment-look background & the foursquare motifs in the corners. The finish is one of Jeff Jewitt's recipes using Transtint dye, with General Finishes' Seal-a-Cell, Gel Stain, & Arm-R-Seal.
