I made the box out of maple and walnut. The walnut is extremely dark. I snatched it up when the woodworking club was unloading the kiln. The three Floyds design was cut from maple for the wing and skull. The crown was made from quartersawn sycamore and the 3 Floyds cherry was used. Read more here
