 Made of Black Walnut, the project is hollowed out to reduce weight and for storage (never did the later.) It obviously took some time to carve, and it was done earlier in my carving experience so it was all done by hand tools, including carving chisels, hand saws, etc. The head was designed to rotate 360 degrees, but I was never fully satisfied with that decision. (live and learn!)
