Squatty Upgrade
Furnished content.
(from Lumberjocks.com)

Squatty UpgradeHomemade version of the squatty potty with some improvements (well at least in my opinion).
Wasn't going to post this, but my previous toilet project (Toilet Tank Lid) got so many views I thought I'd see how interested you potty mouthed woodworkers are in this one. :)
Pretty simple build, 3/4” MDF with biscuit joints and Titebond3. All edges have a 1/8” roundover.Design Objectives:
- I didn't like the plastic of the commercial product, wanted something that looked a little nicer
- Wanted it a little wider
- Able to fit under the bowl when not in use without impacting normal leg position
- Very stable and solid, so it could be used as a stepstool to reach things on high shelves in the bathroom and closet
- Generally wanted a nicer look with some gentle curves and a really nice finishMocked up a template first to fit it snug around the bowl shape. Then cut the top to the template and drew up sides that looked right with the top shape. The cross beam is straight except a slight curve along the bottom edge just for style.
