I have never made a chair before this one. I have a new respect for those who make them. All the curves and angles made it more complex than I had expected. What a great learning experience! The next one will be much easier to do. I used quarter sawn and regular red oak for everything except the skinny slats on the curved area which are ambrosia maple from a friend's back yard blowdown. Finished it with English chestnut stain and satin varnish.
