Loom

(from Lumberjocks.com)

LoomThis is a loom I made for my neighbor, Carolyn, in Arizona. She weaves hats out of yarn and she mentioned that the 14” one she had was a little too big and it had 42 holes. So I made her this one that is 12” and has 36 holes. It is made from a piece of white laminate covered 5/8” maple plywood. The hole locations were done on the wood lathe. I borrowed the tees from my wife's stash of golf tees. There was no need for any finish on it.I normally don't like to leave any construction holes in a project but I did leaf the holes from the faceplate mounting on the back side where they will never bee seen. That way I could cut it down or put in another pattern of holes if she ever needed them.Cheers, Jim
