So i got a load of Cherry from a local sawyer. I thought about this project for a while and wanted to make something that would push myself in designing an original piece of furniture. I knew i wanted to make the top of the table float and it went from there. I used elements of mid century furniture as well as a live edge top, i like to say this piece is Eames meets Nakashima….. I like how the piece turned out even though it would be out of place in most people's homes. It was a fun build and I am glad i decided to push myself out of my comfort zone and came up with this one of a kind piece.
