 Sometimes you just can't bear to throw them in the burn pile!I had the exterior of this little spalted maple piece done and was hollowing it when that ugly crack opened up. I kept hollowing, thinking I would probably just blow it up (the hollower was jumping with every rotation when it hit the crack … usually an omen for failure). It held together, so I finished it.It is 5 inches in diameter … finish is 3 coats of Danish Oil.
