It was just a matter of time before pursuing this. Maple & walnut in an 8 by 8 grid – each segment is 1.5” square. Then there's the 1” margin in which the juice groove resides. Ready for your hasenpfeffer ingredients. When you're done with that, flip it over and you have a chess board.No I did not make the pieces. You can get a set of wooden chess pieces on eBay for ~$20.Yup, one corner of the juice groove shows a router slip, but at least I know EXACTLY why that was. As always, live and learn.Fun to make.
