Cam Clamps 8x8
Furnished content.
(from Lumberjocks.com)
I made 2 more cam clamps out of quarter sawn white oak. I needed bigger ones so these open to 8” with and 8” throat. They were made with a one piece solid body with a groove in the end for the bar and then the end was plugged with a solid piece. That is what I made that tenon jig for! The bars are 1/4” x 1” aluminum. The cams have the pivot hole directly below the center of the radius so they clamp tight at 90 degrees. They are finished with Danish oil and then buffed and waxed.Cheers, Jim
