dovetailed white oak tool box
Furnished content. (from Lumberjocks.com)

Layout Tools
Furnished content. (from Lumberjocks.com)
Been making some more Layout Tools. Small Square, Bevel Gauge, Marking Knifes, and Awl's. Most are made with Walnut, and Purpleheart endcaps. The blades for the bevel gauge and marking knife were ordered through Taylor Tools. The finish was 2 coats of Natural Danish Oil, and 6 coats of Shellac sanded with 220, 400 and finally 0000 Wool and buffed. The Awl's were finished on the lathe with a friction polish of Shellac an BLO.I made these up to have on hand to give to a few buddies. This is a great site, and many thanks to all who have helped out with comments. Thanks for viewing and comments always welcome.
