My wife saw something very similar of Wayfair so she asked me to make her one. I had never heard of a “blanket ladder” before but since she gives me time and space to do projects it was the least I could do.The wood is white oak that I salvaged when a contractor jacked up a nearby house. I have been drying the wood in my basement for at least five years.I turned the tenons on the rungs then wedged them in place. If this were an actual ladder I would use square tenons but, since we're only supporting blankets, that seemed like overkill. Used oil and wax finish. The wife is happy so definitely a worthwhile project.
