New Strop

Made a new (Bigger) strop that will accommodate chisels and my hatchet much better. The leather is 3” x 8.5” Total length is 16”. The handle is Ash.Boil Linseed Oil for a wipe-on finish.
This a leftover project from yesterday.

Repurposed Bench

My elderly neighbor and his wife gave me an old bed frame that they had. He mentioned that it was very squeaky and it was an embarrassment when his grandchildren would visit. I didn't ask.He thought the wood was too good to just toss out so he gave the frame to me. He thought that I could use the wood on different projects in the future. I decided to make this bench. All of the wood in the bench was once part of the bed frame.I then offered to give it back to him if he and his wife wanted it. They were thrilled to get it. Just to be clear, it no longer squeaks.
