Tribute plaque for a 1969 Vietnam vet, who still remembers not having dry socks over there. It started with the insignia-With Aspire software I converted the image to workable vectors (many hours). I put the 3d model on hold and converted it to laser engraving.The frame is cut from Medex on a CNC, the coating is pewter from Sculpt Nouveau coating, and the 2 laser plaques are from TroTec materials, 3mm brushed aluminum/with a black.

Oak & Pine Cone Cross

I saw one of these once a while ago and decided to make one. I had some oak scraps laying around on my wood shelf. I routed out the channel so the top part slides open. Inside there is room for two small candles, and a small bottle of holy water . I believe it is for a “Last Rites Ceremony” ! I think that is what it is called.
