Appalachian State University Mascot

This is Yosef, the Appalachian State University Mascot. He's about 3 inches tall and comes with a cork so he can be used as a bottle stopper. If the cork is not glued in, he can sit on a shelf. The last photo is what I had to work from…Claude

Burl Clock

Arrived home on Sunday after delivering my sister's clock to her… and she loved it! After a few days out of the shop, I had the itch, so I started another clock. Obviously this is a variation on a theme. I did have fun with the light to dark sequencing. This also features a larger clock face and the side pieces are a little more natural with some live edge.On a separate note, I've decided that although I'm very proud of my sobriety (now over 7 1/2 months sober), I don't want it to define me or my woodworking. Early on, the woodworking certainly gave me something to do in the evening when I normally would have been drinking. However, woodworking has become more for me than simply trying to avoid pouring a drink. Therefore, my new name for my shop is VanDesign Woodworking rather than what was once Zero Whiskey Woodworking.My last name is Vande Zande, so it's a bit of a play off my nickname and my last name.
