Jigsaw Cushion

The next time you use your jigsaw, forget about hauling out the sawhorses or cantilevering a hard-to-hold workpiece off your bench. Extruded polystyrene insulation board, the rigid pink sheets used in housing construction, makes sawing easy, whether you're cutting a …Source

Shed in the back yard for finishing and currently wood storage.

Furnished content.
(from Lumberjocks.com)

Shed in the back yard for finishing and currently wood storage. Wanted a separate space for spraying and finishing the projects. I was able to pick up some salvaged 2 by 6's in the desert of redwood that was once decking for a pool. I also got the framing from a removal job I did inside a garage so started out with part framed. I milled the redwood I salvaged to 1-inch lap boards for siding and 1/4 inch shingles for other sheds. I wanted it to fit the backyard at the time. Added an attic to store milled wood from logs, but since found that boards are heavy am looking at another solution. Thought it would be a good project to increase my skills. Some of the pics were of another shed closed off under the eves to store all the gardening and other garage items so the two-car garage could be just the shop. This was mostly during the downturn, and now the prices are skyrocketing in the area. I look at so many of the posts on Lumberjocks with big acres of land. Finally starting to get into building furniture for real with all the milled lumber I have so the idea of starting again on a shop doesn't appeal to me. Love the acres and the ability to build a bigger shop and possibly a Kiln.

Centennial bed of Mahogany

Furnished content.
(from Lumberjocks.com)

Centennial bed of Mahogany The mahogany bed I made from door jams off of Craigslist. Real excited till I was told it was not really mahogany but Honduras Mahogany. The design came from Popular Woodworking. I had to purchase a couple of pieces of new Mahogany to finish. Used Tung oil and the support boards for the mattress is made from pine gotten from a set-piece from one of my shows. Learned a lot on building this. The inserts were fitch I also got from craigslist that used 1/4 in the ply to laminate to. One of My first pieces of furniture. I also built two night stands to go with it from small pieces of Mahogany.

Outside Vessel Sink for a client using padauk

Furnished content.
(from Lumberjocks.com)

Outside Vessel Sink for a client using padaukHad built some cabinet doors for the client out of cedar for an outside counter and later they wanted to replace the sink. I had milled some Padauk from a log which I still haven't built a furniture piece with but had some offcuts so suggested a vessel sink for a focal point in the area. Turned out well I think.
