Pen and Pencil Box

Furnished content.
(from Lumberjocks.com)

Pen and Pencil BoxA revision of a pencil sharpener ( http://smortegav.blogspot.com/2020/12/the-improved-and-safer-pencil-sharpener.html for the backstory) was what got me started on this little project.
The box is 8 inches square and 2 inches deep. I was going to make it with a hinge and latch; just when I thought pencil boxes were a thing of the past, when getting ready to post this project, I saw another pencil box with the same latch I was going to use- see last photo. Like the other poster, I used scraps and forewent a hinge and latch construction to avoid having to shop or order anything. I also wanted something that could fit in a toolbox when traveling and serve as a holder on a desk/work top. More at this link: http://smortegav.blogspot.com/2021/01/pencil-and-pen-box.html

Locomotive Parts

Furnished content.
(from Lumberjocks.com)

Locomotive PartsLove to see some more photos of this gorgeous loco, especially of the detailing, thank you.- crowieSince I m still new to this site, I m not sure how to add pictures so, I will start a new tread.GaryThe train was modeled after the Virginia Truckee by a member of the Vectric Forum, which he allowed the Rhino file to be copied. His file needed to be enhanced to give it depth so it could be modeled and cut out of wood. I spent several more hours redoing it and segregating the parts so they could be imported into Aspire. Some parts were done on the rotary, some double-sided and some like the cow catcher was just a 2D cut.Although I only showed a hand-full of pictures, there was a lot of other parts. The whole process took me a couple of weeks to accomplished.

SALT & PEPPER GRINDERS

Furnished content.
(from Lumberjocks.com)

SALT & PEPPER GRINDERS Last week, I posted pictures of the stuff I did on Christmas vacation. People asked for detailed shots of the grinders. Here they are, I keep them mostly straight lines since there is so much character in the teak I use. I do 2 lines for the salt and 3 for the pepper. I cut a recess in the top that the bottom fits into.
