I have been wondering for sometime on what style of chess board I would like to make. I stumbled on Mike M ( Would u make it ) videos and I thought I Would make it – with some features I would like just a few adjustments. Mine is close to 2 squares and I decided to trim the edge of the frame with my router – this would have been easier on my nerves before assembly.Walnut and maple were used with some Padauk in the frame for accent. Finish is lacquerI was lucky to find some nice wood filled chess pieces which blend in with the board.
First of all, I couldn't get the pictures turned. If you look back in my projects, you will see the two vanities that I built for our new Cowboy Church. We have a 10' opening between the sanctuary and the kitchen. I needed a big enough countertop to cover the 24 base cabinets and around 12 over into sanctuary. It's been fun, I love working with Epoxy. Enjoy
An aromatic cremation urn for a cat. This is a replica of an urn that is no longer manufactured. My customer has several and needed another one. It's made of aromatic cedar, about 5/16” thick. Size is 5” Long X 3-1/2” Wide X 4” Tall. The hinges are 5mm barrel hinges. The original had a latch (not pictured). I thought it odd that an urn would be hinged and latched. Previous urns that I've made had removable bottoms.
