Yarn Bowls #57 - #60Yarn bowls are a popular item, so I turned out four more, bringing my total over the last couple of years to 60.These are all made from domestic woods (cherry, maple, and walnut), about 6-1/2 inches tall and 6-1/2 inches in diameter.These are all shown with an (optional) Nostepinne, which is Scandinavian for 'nest stick'. The Nostepinne is a tapered stick used to wind yarn into a tight ball.

Fender Jazz Bass headstock boxFor the rock n roller in the family. She has a Fender Jazz Bass, maybe she'll like it. I never can tell with a 14 y/o girl.I like making bandsaw boxes. This was a lot of fun.I downloaded a template from a luthier website, and copied it full size onto a piece of mahogany. I didn't use the string tree or truss rod slot.The waterslide decal came from Etsy. https://www.etsy.com/listing/398218933/fender-stratocaster-telecaster-jaguar?ref=hp_rv-1&frs=1&bes=1 Thanks, Mitch!!Mahogany. Notepinnes (Yarn Ball Winding Sticks)“Nostepinne (or nostepinde) is a Scandinavian word that means nest-stick..The Nostepinne is used to wind yarn into a tight ball. The yarn can be pulled from the center of the ball and maintain more even tension on the yarn as the knitter uses it.
