Playhouse
Furnished content. (from Lumberjocks.com)
Delivering the kids bench to our grandkids (see previous post) gave me an opportunity to finally complete their playhouse that I had started for them just before lockdown. I had started one for them at their previous property, but they moved before it was finished, so this one just kind of evolved from the various pieces I salvaged from that effort, along with the constraints of building directly on the solid bedrock of the Canadian Shield. The platform is about 12' x 8'; the playhouse itself is 8' x 5' and the tube slide is about 8' high. A fun build where precision is a little less critical, but the 3 and 6 year olds were always close by to offer advice on what was good (& bad) about the design as it came together. It was given final inspection and approval by the two new “owners” (grandkids) this afternoon.

Another Saw Bench
Furnished content. (from Lumberjocks.com)
A split top saw bench, garden bench, or a mobile workbench ? This is my take on Stumpy's $10 saw bench, taking advantage of nice weather to file some saws in the yard.Work benches have enlarged such that my feet dangle like a small child when I sit on them. This one solves that problem at 32×12 and shy of 20 inches in height. After I finished, and it realized its benchiness, it thought that maybe another should exist with some details changed to incorporate a leg vise and a dead man. If that ever happens, I'll call it the $20 stumpy roubo.

Hall Tree
Furnished content. (from Lumberjocks.com)
We recently moved into a house that did not have a coat closet. My wife fussed about having to put guest coats in our spare bedroom because she would have to make sure that cat hair had been removed before they put their coats on the bed. So she asked for something that could be used to hang up coats near the front door. She also wanted a place to put shoes, handbags, hats, etc. So I built this. Cherry and Sepele with ebony plugs over screw holes. Except for some dados, all the joinery is screws.
