Rust-Oleum Spray Paint Can Gun Review

I got tired of pushing my finger down on the tiny nozzle that's on most spray paint cans, especially when it's a big painting job, and then I stumbled upon this little gem, made by RUST-OLEUM, at the orange big box store. I love RUST-OLEUM paints anyway, and now I love their spray paint can "gun" too.

It's SO MUCH easier to spray paint with this thing, it's easier to use the "trigger" rather than the nozzle, and it provides a better ability to control the spray while you paint. It goes onto a can quickly by pinching the two nubs at the back, which causes the jaws to grab onto the rim of the can just under the nozzle, and it stays on the can reliably as well, but comes off easily too with just another pinch, all of which make this a really good gadget.

Just after you put the gun on a can, make sure the nozzle is pointing forward. It'll avoid a sticky mess.

It's about $10 bucks, and well worth it. And you really only need one because it goes on and off so easily. You'll wonder what you ever did without it.

Window Valances (home store moulding - no crown)

Furnished content.

Window Valances (home store moulding - no crown)Had this on the list for a long time. We took the window treatments down and painted over a year ago – finally got sick of the blank walls. These are simple valances that sit close to the window. The core of the box is just 8' trim boards and the moulding is wide door casing around the top and then smaller trim on the bottom. I took a little off the width of the lower trim to balance the look (you can see the portion trimmed in picture 5). The finished look is pretty clean. I did not want to use crown b/c I thought it would be too much of the same – maybe look like a forced match. One coat of primer and then sprayed gloss white for the final and they came out good. Now I can back to my chess board and a guitar stand also in progress in the shop.
